  • Available with full-electric and diesel powertrain with manual or automatic transmission
  • The new Scudo is open to ordering in four versions and up to three lengths: Van, Crew Cab, Cab with platform, and Combi M1.

The New Scudo is a modern and evolved vehicle, now based on the Stellantis mid-van platform, is available with a 100% electric powertrain and with last generation diesel engine. The New Scudo thus becomes Fiat Professional's second commercial vehicle also available in an electric version, joining the E-Ducato, launched in April this year. A wider range to meet the needs of a varied clientele made up of real professionals, who live their vehicle first and foremost as a work tool and a source of income.
Precisely to meet such needs, the New Scudo comes with a series of features to make it the best in its class.

The New Scudo opens its ordering in the main European markets from mid-December. Fiat Professional once again takes a leading role in the light van D-segment, returning to the historical name of the vehicle produced until 2016 at the Stellantis plant in Hordain, France, to replace the Talento.

FULL BEV WITH NO COMPROMISE

The manifesto for the Scudo’s “uncompromising” approach lies in the features of the Electric version, best-in-class range of up to 330 km in the WLTP cycle, ideal for those who work in the city and inner suburbs.
The zero-emissions version also boasts unique flexibility from the perspective of the client’s mission, with two battery sizes – 50 and 75 kWh, an AC charging capacity of up to 11 kW, and up to 100 kW in DC, to charge the more capacious battery to 80% in just 45 minutes.
Load capacity do not change whatever is the powertrain, and payload in the core of the segment: up to 6,6 m3 loading bay volume, payload up to over 1 t and likewise, a towing capacity of 1 t.

PROFESSIONAL USE WITH CAR LIKE DRIVING

The target audience is professionals who use their vehicle for 8 hours or more per day; another aspect carefully considered in the design phase was therefore comfort. The aim of the New Scudo is to offer a stress-free experience at work, via various measures such as a car-like driving position, top level soundproofing, to minimize jolts and vibrations.

- Compact external dimensions, less than 5 meter length for the core version and 1,9 m height made Scudo suitable for all-purpose use, ensuring the agility necessary in the urban environment
- Head up display is delivering key information without driver distraction and reducing stress
- The Car-like driving position ensure an excellent comfort level, while the seat elevated position ensure optimal road visibility. Easy accessibility is ensured by an ergonomic step in the cabin.
- The Road holding, comfort and suspension filtering are ensured in all the driving conditions thanks to the four independent wheel suspensions (reinforced McPherson front axle with anti-roll bar and oblique wishbone trailing arms for the rear axle) enhancing variable stiffness springs, with load adaptive variable damping (AMVAC) shock absorbers, a system which varies the damping with the vehicle's ride height.

SAFETY: COMPLETE SET OF ADAS SYSTEM

The New Scudo delivers a complete set of safety and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features, all 14 of them, such as:

automatic road sign recognition;
automatic emergency braking, triggered when there is a high risk of collision;
Lane Departure Warning, to advise the driver if they veer out of lane; and Blind Spot Alert, a great feature that provides notifications of any vehicles hidden in the wing mirror blind spot when overtaking.
The vehicle also comes with advance notification systems for obstacles in the direction of travel, frontal collision warning, and the practical rear camera that offers a 180° panoramic view, to facilitate parking.

To deliver optimal performance and improved traction in all condition, such as snow, mud or sand, Scudo can be equipped with the Grip Control system.

Moreover, the Head-up Display will provide all the most important information to the driver, avoiding him to look away from the road, while he is fully supported even when parking thanks to the front and rear parking sensors, the rear camera which is able to deliver a the top-view 180° reconstituted image of the rear area to enhance easy and safe parking manoeuvres.

INGENIOUS MODULARITY

The New Scudo has been designed as an all-round commercial vehicle, but one that feels like a car, with the advantage of offering smart, concrete solutions while maintaining compact dimensions. New Scudo is also available for passengers’ transportation for business or private use. Fully configurable up to 9 seats. Seats are foldable to increase load capacity according to the needs. Thanks to the folding partition walls that enable to carry 3 additional people than a van.
The dimensions themselves are another of the model's strengths: the 1.90-meter height makes basement storage units easily accessible. Combined with a length of 5 m, and up to 5.3 m in the Maxi version, the result is a vehicle that can “transport anything and go anywhere”. Also available – for specific needs in the city – is the exclusive “S” version, which packs all the advantages of the Scudo into just 4.6 meters.
Load volumes of 4.6, 5.3 or 6.1 m3 depending on the wheelbase and capacity of up to 1.4 t ensure the New Scudo’s uncompromising capabilities.

It also features a special kind of cabin modularity courtesy of the exclusive Moduwork system, which transforms the passenger seat into a workstation and an extension of the load compartment, to transport items up to 4 meters long (Maxi version), and to increase the volume by 0,5 m3, to a total capacity of up to 6.6 m3. The vehicle is therefore flexible enough for all requirements and all kinds of clients, from hydraulics operators and shipbuilders to the needs of home delivery professionals.

CONFIGURATION AND POWERTRAIN

As a tribute to its nature as a flexible, multipurpose vehicle, the New Scudo is available in four configurations (Van, Crew Cab, Cab with platform and Combi M1), three trim levels (Easy, Business and Lounge), and four diesel engines on top of the electric powertrain. The entire range is available in an electric version, from the van to the cab, crew van and combi versions, the latter with up to 9 seats. Such a wide-ranging offering therefore raises the appeal of the New Scudo for passenger transportation, for outfitters, and for the recreational vehicle market, where Fiat Professional leads Europe.

Powertrains to suit all need. Together with the electric version - equipped with a 100-kW (136-hp) electric motor – also available four Diesel engines: 1.5-liter in a 102-hp or 120-hp version, with 6-speed manual transmission; 2.0-liter in an 8-speed manual or automatic, 145-hp version; 177-hp, again paired with the efficient 8-speed automatic transmission.

The New Scudo is ready to become a big name in the light van D-segment, offering a range that can meet the requirements of both the self-employed and fleet managers, with efficient solutions and stress-free experiences, guaranteeing business continuity and profitability. The inclusion of zero-emissions versions is also another piece in the jigsaw of the gradual strategy to electrify the Stellantis line-up, and is expected to attract great interest from entrepreneurs attentive to the profitability of their business, who also have respect for our environment.
